Lambton College Dean Recognized Nationally

The executive dean of research and innovation at Lambton College has received special honours.

Mehdi Sheikhzadeh was presented with a Research Management Excellence Award on behalf of the Canadian Association of Research Administrators (CARA), which represents over 1,000 research leaders across Canada. He was recognized for the outstanding contributions he's made to his profession nationally through innovation, creativity and dedication.

A week before the CARA 2017 Annual Conference, Sheikhzadeh was also presented with a bronze Award Leadership Excellence on behalf of the Colleges and Institutes Canada for post secondary managers, who have made exceptional contributions within their institution and its community.

At the same ceremony, Lambton College took the silver honour for Innovation in Applied Research Excellence for its institutional commitment and the impact its research activity has on small and medium-sized enterprises, the local community, the province and its students.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
