Funeral Services Set For Andre Morin

The city of Sarnia says services will be limited Monday morning so staff can attend the funeral of City Engineer and Acting City Manager Andre Morin.

Mr. Morin died suddenly Tuesday at the age of 41.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church at 1465 LeCaron Ave. Monday, May 15 at 10am.

The city says all municipal buildings and facilities will be open Monday but services will be limited between 9:30am and noon.

Family and friends will be received at the Smith Funeral Home Saturday from 4pm until 7pm, and Sunday from 2pm until 4pm.

Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Big Brothers of Sarnia-Lambton, or Huron House Boys Home.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
