Driver Charged In Messy Crash

Lambton OPP have charged the driver of a dump truck involved in a crash Friday, May 12, just south of Wyoming.

Around 8:30am, a dump truck filled with asphalt ended up on its side following a collision with a pickup truck at the intersection of Oil Heritage Rd. and Churchill Line.

Police allege the driver of the eastbound dump-truck failed to stop at a stop sign and entered into the intersection where it collided with a southbound pickup.

The dump truck driver, a 44-year-old Alberta man, is charged with careless driving.

The intersection was closed for several hours while crews cleaned up the load of asphalt that spilled.

Both drivers were treated at hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
