Sting Ink Abercrombie To Contract Extension

The Sarnia Sting have signed team President Bill Abercrombie to a multi-year contract extension.

Abercrombie has been with the OHL club for 13 seasons, including three as President.

In his current role, Abercrombie works closely with the hockey operations of the Sarnia Sting, and his main focus is overseeing the day-to-day business operations.

The team says he's responsible for the success of the business model in place, but also ensuring that the Sarnia Sting continues to strive towards being an excellent member of the Sarnia-Lambton community.

Co-owner, David Legwand says Abercrombie is a valuable part of the team, “He has been around the industry for a long time and understands the business as well as anyone. Under his guidance, we have seen the club take huge strides since Derian and I came on board. He’s a well-respected member of the Sarnia-Lambton Community and an excellent fit for this position.”

Abercrombie has also been the Sting's Assistant Coach, and VP of Hockey Operations.
