Lambton OPP were called by passing motorists who spotted two people standing on St. Clair Parkway trying to flag down help.
Their vehicle had run out of gas.
When police arrived officers discovered the pair were in possession of marijuana.
Two 17-year-olds have now been charged with possession of a narcotic and are required to attend youth court.
