Petrolia Canada Day Parade Returns

After at least a ten-year absence, Petrolia will have a Canada Day Parade this year.

Deputy Clerk Mandi Pearson says they responded when the public expressed a wish for such an event.

"Hearing that from people and knowing that is something our staff can put forward, we thought this was the year to bring it back," Pearson says. "What a better year to resurrect the event than on our 150th birthday?'

There will be no entry fee for participants but the predominant colour must be red and white and answer the question, "What Canada means to you."

For more information on how to register you can go to www.town.petrolia.on.ca.
