Respected Businessman, Journalist Dies

A respected Sarnia businessman and journalist has died.

Jack Fullerton died suddenly Thursday at Trillium Villa at the age of 89.

A journalism graduate from the class of 1951 from The University of Western Ontario, Mr. Fullerton and the late Marceil Saddy founded and co-owned the Sarnia Gazette. He was a longtime former school board trustee and a member of the Lambton County Roman Catholic Separate School Board until he was 65.

Jack wrote a column for "First Monday" magazine until he was 87 and was a member of the Liberal Party for 60 years.

Visitation will be held Monday from 7pm until 9pm at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 10am with cremation to follow.
