Man Wielding Tree Limb Tasered

A 26-year-old man faces charges including assault with a weapon after being arrested by Sarnia police on outstanding warrants Monday morning.

Police say a wanted man, found at about 9am at a Grove Ave. address, led officers on a chase over fences and through yards before being cornered. The man was tasered after allegedly picking up a 3 ft long tree limb that was several inches in diameter. Police say, after allegedly trying to flee again, a struggle ensued and the man was finally brought under control and arrested.

It's alleged he continued to act aggressively in the back seat of the cruiser by yelling, screaming and spitting.

Kyle Wright-Morgan remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing on charges of resisting a peace officer, mischief over $5,000 and assault with a weapon. He also faces outstanding charges in the Chatham-Kent area.
