Canadian Coast Guard Ships Reunite

The former Canadian Coast Guard buoy tender Alexander Henry is expected to arrive in Thunder Bay on Tuesday.

The vessel, which served on the Great Lakes from 1959 to 1984, spent 30 years in Kingston as a marine museum attraction.

It is now being towed by the tug boat Salvage Monarch to Thunder Bay where it will become a tourist attraction.

The Alexander Henry was replaced by the icebreaker Samuel Risley.

Ironically, the two ships met up on Lake St. Clair on Friday.
