Ribfest Returns To Centennial Park This Weekend

Lip smacking, finger-licking ribs will be sizzling in Sarnia's Centennial Park this weekend.

The Kinsmen Club of Sarnia is hosting Ribfest, a homecoming of sorts. The event was held in the park for more than a decade before soil contamination forced a move to Hiawatha Horse Park in 2013.

Donations will be accepted at the gate but there will be a $5 cover charge after 6pm to help pay for the bands and for staging the event.

Music Friday night will be provided by Rob Sharp and Lit 'L Chicago, Scott Manery and the Barnburners and JaBriTo.

Saturday's performers are Gypsy Flatts, Round House, Retrospect and Chain Reaction.

Stephanie Aiken and Company, Jeff Black and Daryl, and Mark Blayney take to the stage on Sunday.

The Kinsmen hope to raise enough to get a big marching band for next year's Canada Day Parade.
