Residents in a multi-unit dwelling in Sarnia were able to escape after their building after it caught fire Sunday night.
Bill Sheane, platoon chief with Sarnia Fire and Rescue, says firefighters responded to the 200-block of Devine St. just after 9pm.
"The arriving crews encountered flames coming out of both front, main floor windows and it had already extended to the second floor," says Sheane. "All of the tenants were out upon arrival and no firefighters were hurt battling the blaze."
Sheane says damage is estimated at $175,000.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
