Bluewater Power Warns Of Phone Scam

Bluewater Power is warning of another telephone scam making the rounds in Sarnia-Lambton.

The utility has received about a dozen calls Friday, mostly from businesses, claiming they've been threatened with disconnection if they don't provide a credit card number.

CEO Janice McMichael-Dennis says Bluewater Power will never take this tactic.

"I believe this is about the third time that this has hit the area," says McMichael-Dennis. "The last few times, people have fallen prey to it. It just breaks your heart to see people lose their hard-earned money to scammers."

If you've received a call like this, you're urged to call Bluewater Power at 519-337-8201.
