Driver Sought After Allegedly Fleeing Police

Lambton OPP are trying to locate a suspect driver after an incident Saturday afternoon in Dawn-Euphemia.

Police say officers were called just before 3pm about a 2000 Chev Silverado pickup truck, which appeared to be in disrepair, and was being driven erratically.

The OPP say the red truck is missing a driver-side door and side mirrors and has a smashed rear window. It was observed in the Langbank Line, Cuthbert Rd. and Robinson Rd. area towing a flatbed trailer with a large bulldozer track.

Police say the vehicle entered several agricultural fields when they tried to stop it.

Officers were able to recover the trailer and bulldozer track a short time later, but the driver and pick-up were not located.

Police say 28-year-old Richard Chadwick McGuire of Dawn-Euphemia is wanted on charges of dangerous operation of a vehicle, driving while disqualified, flight from police and mischief over $5,000.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact police.
