Medical Distress Call Leads To Drunk Driving Charge

A 23-year-old Plympton-Wyoming man is facing impaired driving related charges after concerned citizens called police thinking a man was in medical distress.

Sarnia police, and Lambton EMS were called to the area of Berger Rd. around 10:45am Tuesday.

Police say a vehicle was at the side of the road with the engine still running and the lone occupant, sitting in the driver's seat, appeared to be in discomfort.

Reasonable grounds were formed to arrest him for care and control of a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol.

The man allegedly blew nearly three times the legal limit.
