UPDATE: Multiple Water Main Repairs Continue

City of Sarnia public works crews are still fixing water main breaks caused by a weather-related power failure at the water treatment plant Thursday.

Breaks occurred at nine locations due to pressure surges caused by the outage.

Breaks on Wellington St., Jordon Dr., Telfer Rd., and Emma St., have been repaired.

Work continues, with the help of contractors, on Lougar Ave., Lansdowne Ave., Proctor St., Airport Rd, and Colborne Rd.

On Colborne Rd., there was extensive damage to a 20'' water main.

The city says all affected areas still have water service, and they're thanking the public for their patience.

After repairs are completed, they'll be cleaning up the sites next week.
