Four New Sarnia Police Constables Sworn In

The Sarnia Police Service is welcoming four new constables, sworn in by Chief Phil Nelson and Deputy Chief Bob Farlow.

Steven Farlow, Danielle Girard, Christopher Beauchamp, and Cody Simpson were welcomed to the force during a ceremony Tuesday.

Each of them completed three months at the Ontario Police College.

They'll be exposed to different areas of the department over the next three weeks, before being assigned to platoons with a coach officer.

If all goes well, they'll be independently on the road a few months after that

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
