Petrolia Water Restrictions Lifted

The Town of Petrolia has lifted restrictions on the non-essential use of water.

The town says maintenance at the water treatment plant in Bright's Grove is complete and the plant has been running at capacity without incident for the past 72 hours.

Residents are urged to keep conservation in mind but the restrictions placed on lawn and plant watering, and vehicle washing are no longer in effect.

The restrictions had been in place since July 28.

Director of Operations Mike Thompson says the maintenance was completed quickly and efficiently due to the reduction in water demand for the town.
