Driver Charged With Impaired In Lambton Shores Crash

A 71-year-old man from London faces an impaired driving charge following a single-vehicle collision in Lambton Shores Sunday afternoon just before 4pm.

The OPP say a Volkswagen Passat struck a stop sign and then hit a hydro pole on Townsend Line.

The driver was not injured. He was taken to the Petrolia OPP detachment where he allegedly blew almost three times the legal limit.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
