Farmers Organization Helps Fight Hunger

Farm Credit Canada (FCC) has donated $1,000 to the nutrition program at Queen Elizabeth II school.

The FCC office in Wyoming presented a cheque at the school on Aberdeen Ave. in Sarnia.

Since 2004 the organization has been collecting food as part of its annual Drive Away Hunger campaign in support of local food banks and hunger programs.

In just under 14 years, FCC has contributed $100,000 to Canadian school meal programs.

President Michael Hoffort says FCC is always looking for more ways to support those who are working everyday to help alleviate hunger in Canada.

FCC offices across Canada are now collecting food and cash donations until October 13.
