Driver Charged In Downtown Collision

A 57-year-old Sarnia man is charged following a two vehicle collision Tuesday morning in the city's downtown. Just before 8am, police say the man was driving north on Christina St., just south of Cromwell St., when he lost control of his vehicle and sideswiped a vehicle headed south on Christina St. No injuries were reported. The male driver has been charged with careless driving and driving while under suspension. The road between Cromwell St. and Davis St. was closed for about an hour.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
