United Way Campaign Trailing Last Year's Pace

The United Way Sarnia-Lambton 2017 campaign is slightly behind last year's pace.

Executive Director Dave Brown says so far, they have raised $680,000 or 34% of the $2-million goal.

He says they have also been busy making presentations and reaching out to businesses within chemical valley and area schools.

"We're busy this week doing a lot more employee presentations to carry on our campaign strategy," says Brown. "The more people we can tell where and how the contributions are being used locally, we believe they're more likely to support the United Way and there might be some programs that they need."

The United Way of Sarnia-Lambton funds 19 agencies providing 35 programs and services to the community.
