One of Canada's most well known businessmen and philanthropists will be one of two keynote speakers during Sarnia-Lambton Business Week, that begins October 16.
Sarnia-Lambton Business Development Corporation spokesperson Tracy Ranick says they were surprised when Charles Bronfman agreed to come to town.
"He ran the Canadian division of the powerful Seagram empire," says Ranick. "He was responsible for bringing baseball to Canada as the first majority owner of the Montreal Expos. He's continued on and is also one of Canada's biggest philanthropists."
Seagram will be the guest speaker at a moderated conversation and luncheon beginning at 11:45am on Monday, October 16.
On Friday, October 20, Detroit BUILD Institute founder April Jones Boyle will be the guest speaker at the annual Women's Forum.
The institute has fostered hundreds of entrepreneurial ventures in Motown.
Tickets cost $40 for each event and must be pre-purchased.
