United Way Campaign Reaches Halfway Point

This year's United Way campaign has hit the 50% mark.

In a news release Thursday, Sarnia-Lambton Campaign Chair Vicky Ducharme says the campaign started off slower compared to previous years but momentum has picked up.

They've now raised $1-million of the $2-million goal.

In November, the United Way will hold the tenth annual Locally Lambton Dinner at the Lambton College Event Centre, with funds raised supporting the campaign.

Tickets for the November 10 event are available at the United Way East St. Office.

The organization funds 19 agencies providing 35 programs and services to the community.
