Dog Recovering From Gunshot To The Head

Investigators with the Sarnia and District and Humane Society are still trying to determine who is responsible for seriously injuring a dog in Dawn-Euphemia Township.

OSPCA Agent Nicole King say a female chocolate lab was located Sunday, September 24 on Dawn Valley Rd., suffering from gunshot wounds to the head and neck.

King says the impact from the gunshots left the animal with a broken jaw.

"The dog is doing great now under her veterinary care and is very stable," says King. "Her health was fine outside of the injuries, she did have a little bit of a skin issue and some fleas."

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Sarnia Humane Society Investigations Department at 519-384-3647 or Crime Stoppers.
