Saskatchewan Man Charged With Impaired Driving

A 34-year-old man from Saskatchewan has been charged with impaired driving after driving his pickup truck into a ditch on Scott Rd.

At about 1:30am Saturday, Sarnia police say an officer noticed a man walking near the railway tracks on Hwy. 40.

When he stopped to make sure everything was alright, he noticed the man was covered in mud and appeared to be intoxicated.

Further investigation discovered the man's pickup truck in the ditch partially submerged in water, after it had travelled about 90 m before stopping.

The man was subsequently arrested, given a breathalyzer test and charged with impaired driving.
