Clocks Fall Back

When you turn your clocks back this weekend, Sarnia Fire Rescue Services would also like you to test your smoke alarms.

Fire Prevention Officer Roel Bus says the time change is a useful reminder to ensure the safety of your home.

"The smoke alarms, CO alarms remember to change the batteries," says Bus. "And remember even if they're hardwired in, they have a battery back up as well, so make sure you change that one too."

Residents are advised to change the clocks before bed Saturday night. Daylight Savings Time officially ends at 2am Sunday, November 5.

The change means morning will be bright an hour earlier and darkness will set in earlier in the evening.
