Take A Bite Out Of Hunger A Success

Take a Bite Out of Hunger in Sarnia raised over $8,000.

The sixth annual fundraiser with Subway restaurants last Friday collected $8,500 for the Inn of the Good Shepherd.

The money raised will go towards services and programs offered at the inn including the food bank, soup kitchen and utility and rent assistance.

Nationally, the event saw Subway Canada donate 1-million meals to Food Banks Canada in celebration of World Sandwich Day.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
