Lambton Shores Man Fails To Outrun Police

A Lambton Shores man is in hot water after he allegedly failed to outrun provincial police last Friday night.

Lambton OPP was out looking for speeders on Hwy. 21 around 11:30pm, when a Toyota Matrix -- allegedly travelling 45 km/h over the posted speed limit -- zipped by.

Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver allegedly tried to evade police, eventually stopping the car and fleeing on foot.

He was no match for the officer though, who chased him down and arrested him.

Lambton OPP have charged a 36-year-old man with impaired driving, fleeing while pursued by police, speeding and not having a valid licence plate.

He is scheduled to appear in Sarnia court on November 27.
