OPP's Transport Truck Enforcement Paying Off

Lambton OPP says its Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement Initiative is paying off.

After a few serious crashes, police partnered with the MTO to provide ramped up enforcement on Hwy. 402 between the Bluewater Bridge and Modeland Rd.

From September 12 to November 12, police issued 162 tickets for things like speeding, distracted driving, and following too closely.

During that time, the OPP say there has only been one minor collision involving tractor trailers.

Police say they'll continue to monitor the area.
