New Transportation Option For Disabled

Two new 40-foot Sarnia Transit Busses will be on the road Monday.

The new Nova LFS models seat 31 people and come equipped with new, accessible features including low floors with ramps at both the front and rear to allow for easy wheelchair and mobility device access.

New call stop technology provides audio and visual information about upcoming stops, assisting people with vision or hearing difficulties.

A 1995 model bus will be retired.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
