Sting Record 20th Win In Mississauga

The Sarnia Sting extended their winstreak to four games with a 5-4 victory over the Steelheads in Mississauga.

Sting forward Jordan Ernst had a four point night with a goal and three assists.

Brady Hinz opened the scoring three minutes into the game on the power play.

Braden Guy scored for Sarnia in the second period and again in the third with Ernst and Adam Ruzicka also scoring in the final frame.

Nicolas Hague scored twice for the Steelheads with singles going to Michael McLeod and Jacob Cascagnette.

Sarnia goalie Justin Fazio stopped 38 of 42 shots while Jacob Ingham made 43 saves for Mississauga.

The Sting (20-4-1-0) visit Erie Saturday at 7pm. The pregame show starts at 6;40pm on 103.9 FM - 1070 AM CHOK.

Sarnia leads the OHL West Division by one point Sault Ste. Marie who beat Kitchener 8-2 Friday and host Peterborough Saturday.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
