Sarnia police, fire and ambulance responded to the crash, which occurred over the noon hour, right outside the Blackburn Radio studios.
There has been no word on injuries.
Traffic was detoured around the collision for a short time.
Sarnia Mayor Mike Bradley called the announcement "a banner day for Sarnia-Lambton, Canada's eastern energy hub."
Dr. Syeda Qasim started working at the hospital this week and will help strengthen diagnostic services across Sarnia-Lambton.
