Towing Company Hauls In Cash For Local Youth

Sarnia's Preferred Towing hauled in a lot of cash at its fundraiser for local youth Tuesday night.

During an event to kick off season two of Discovery Channel's Heavy Rescue: 401, about 180 people donated $13,000 for a transitional housing project for homeless youth.

The owners of Preferred Towing say some of the funds will be used for furnishings, living needs and appliances to outfit seven apartment units at the former ABC Daycare on London Rd.

The company bought the former daycare and had the property rezoned.
