Former Petrolia CAO/Clerk Lands New Job

It didn't take long for Petrolia's former chief administrative officer and clerk to find a new job.

Manny Baron has been hired as CAO and clerk in the Municipality of Mapleton, Ontario.

“Council is confident that Manny brings the right mix of experience and skill to lead our senior management group to success and to translate Council’s vision for the Township into solid corporate and fiscal programming,” said Mapleton Mayor Neil Driscoll.

Baron has replaced Brad McRoberts, who departed from the position last November.

In a news release posted to the towns website, Baron said “I very much look forward to joining the team at the Township of Mapleton and working with Council and staff in addressing current challenges, pursue opportunities, and take the community forward on a solid and sustainable footing."

Executive recruitment services were provided by the human resources team at Ward and Uptigrove of Listowel.

Baron resigned in Petrolia in November after a report to council looked into his ownership of two buildings leased to the town.
