UPDATE: Process Upset At NOVA St. Clair

NOVA Chemicals has reported a process upset Sunday at its St. Clair site.

In an email to Blackburn News Sarnia Monday afternoon, spokesperson Meaghan Kreeft says an audio message, recorded on the Community Awareness and Emergency Response (CAER) phone line, notifying the public of the incident was made at 7pm last night.

She says periods of elevated flaring, as a result of the upset, ended Sunday evening.

Site personnel were investigating.

There was no formal media notification of the incident Sunday.
