Two Killed In St. Clair Township Crash

Two people were killed in a two-vehicle crash in St. Clair Township Tuesday afternoon.

Lambton OPP, Lambton EMS and area firefighters were called to the intersection of Kimball Rd. and Courtright Line around 12:45pm.

Constable Chris Doupe says a transport truck hauling a tanker and a minivan collided.

He says the two occupants of the van were killed while the driver of the truck was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

No names have been released pending notification of next of kin.

The investigation into the cause of the crash continues and any roads leading to the intersection of Kimball Rd. and Courtright Line are closed until further notice.

Courtright Line between Tecumseh Rd. and Waubuno Rd. is closed west of Brigden.

Kimball Rd. between Oil Springs Line and Moore Line was also closed but has since been reopened.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
