Sarnia Fire and Rescue, Lambton EMS and Suncor emergency responders were called just before 6pm.
An employee of McAsphalt was injured on a docked ship and needed to be extricated.
There was no word on the nature of the injuries and any follow-up investigation is under federal jurisdiction.
People in southern Huron and Lambton counties are being told to limit their time outside.
