Hwy. 402 Sound Barrier Damaged In Crash

Sarnia police continue to investigate a January 7 crash that knocked down a part of the Hwy. 402 sound barrier wall on Guthrie Dr.

Constable John Sottosanti says a 44-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

He says it's not clear whether icy conditions played a factor but he doesn't believe alcohol was involved.

Damage is estimated around $20,000. For now, there's yellow caution tape and cones blocking off the area.

The Ontario Transportation Ministry says it'll be at least three weeks before repairs can be made.
