'Trips' In The Valley Cause Flaring

There was higher-than-normal stack flaring at NOVA Chemicals Corunna and Sarnia's Suncor refinery over the weekend.

NOVA reported on the CAER community phone line Sunday that a "plant trip" caused heavy smoke and increased flaring.

Plant personnel safely isolated the equipment.

Suncor had a "compressor trip" in one of its units Saturday morning

The Ministry of the Environment was notified.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
