Armed Robbery In Thedford

A 30-year-old Kettle and Stony Point First Nation man is charged in connection with an armed robbery in Thedford.

Lambton OPP responded to the 100-block of Deacon St. around 9pm Sunday.

Police say a man entered two residences he was familiar with, produced a weapon and demanded money.

OPP say Troy Aaron Shawnoo is charged with robbery with a weapon, possession of a weapon, two counts each of assault with a weapon and unlawfully being in a dwelling, and three counts of failing to comply with previous court ordered conditions.

There was a total of four occupants in the homes but no one was hurt.

Shawnoo was being held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
