Inn Needs Fresh Vegetables To Feed The Needy

The Inn of the Good Shepherd is appealing to the public for donations of fresh food.

Executive Director Myles Vanni says their fresh food drive in partnership with the Great Canadian Superstore on London Rd. wraps up on Saturday, February 17.

"Christmas was good for us so we have lots of canned goods," says Vanni. "But now we're focusing on fresh food through a partnership with the Great Canadian Superstore. When you purchase a $7 bag of fresh vegetables, it will be passed along to the food bank. The Superstore is donating a 43 inch High Definition TV that people who have donated have a chance to win."

1,850 people rely on the food bank every month, 40% of whom are children.
