Building Under Renovation Catches Fire

Firefighters responded to a building fire in downtown Watford Friday.

The Ontario Provincial Police say at around 4:20pm, firefighters and officers responded to a structure on Nauvoo Rd. near Churchill Line.

Police say the building is currently undergoing renovations and no injuries were reported.

Warwick Fire Rescue was assisted by Brooke Fire Rescue's Alvinston station.

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined and a damage estimate has not been released.

The Ontario Fire Marshall's Office has been contacted and police will be assisting with the investigation if need be.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
