Sarnia-Lambton Under Rainfall Warning-Fog Advisory Issued

Sarnia-Lambton could receive 50-75mm or 2-3" of rain by the time it tapers off Wednesday afternoon.

The ground is still frozen, meaning it can't absorb all the water. The mild temperatures, the rain and the snow are resulting in steam coming in off the ground and producing thick fog. Visibility can be reduced to nil at times and severe ponding.

Warn your kids to steer clear of lakes, rivers and streams and stay off any ice still sticking around.

This wet weather is due to a series of low pressure systems moving along a warm front draped across the lower Great Lakes.

An approaching cold front will result in the end of the rain Wednesday afternoon.
