Sting Donates To Pathways In Name Of Stamkos

Pathways Health Centre For Children will upgrade its equipment and therapy materials thanks to a generous donation from the Sarnia Sting.

The OHL hockey team has pledged $25,000 over ten years to the Murphy Rd. facility in the name of former Sting star Steven Stamkos.

Pathways Executive Director Jenny Greensmith is thrilled.

"The Sarnia Sting's investment in Pathways Health Centre For Children is an example of the kind of community leadership and philanthropy that has supported Pathways for over 40 years since we originally opened," says Greensmith. "We're so thankful to have a decade of support from the Sting. This will go a long way to supporting the number of families that we serve."

The Sting also supports the centre's charity golf tournament and Secret Santa Shoppe fundraiser.

Pathway's serves over 2,400 children and youth with physical, developmental and communication needs and their families.
