Break-In Suspects Caught In Act

A man and a woman from Sarnia face charges after a property owner in Lambton Shores interrupted a break-and-enter late Sunday night.

Lambton OPP say they responded at around 11pm to a rural farm building in the 7000-block of Townsend Line.

Police say when the property owner responded to an alarm, two people ran from the building and got in a pick-up truck that had been stolen previously. The truck ran into a nearby ditch and the owner was able to detain the female passenger. The driver escaped into a bush lot but was arrested after a brief search.

Leslie Jason Yaromy, 42, and Leanne Vansicle, 26, are each charged with break and enter, theft, as well as possession of stolen property and break-in instruments.

They're to appear in Sarnia court March 12.
