Kettle Point Resident Faces Child Pornography Charges

A Kettle Point resident is facing child pornography charges after a search warrant was executed at a residence on Tuesday.

The Anishinabek Police Service, along with the OPP's Child Sexual Exploitation and Digital Forensic Units, attended the home.

One adult was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography, distributing child pornography, and four counts of possession of a prohibited weapon.

An initial news release from police, issued Tuesday, mentioned a charge of making child pornography but that has since been corrected to distribution of child pornography.

A bail hearing was scheduled on Tuesday. Further information has not been released.

Anyone with information is asked to contact their nearest police service or Sarnia-Lambton Crime Stoppers.
