A drug crackdown in Lambton County has led to the arrests of two people and the seizure of tens of thousands of dollars worth of narcotics.

On March 8, the Lambton OPP Street Crimes Unit with the help of several officers from within West Region OPP, simultaneously executed search warrants at four locations.

Two people were arrested and charged, and narcotics including marijuana, cocaine, fentanyl, methadone and methamphetamine were seized. The total street value of the drugs is estimated at more than $56,000.

Constable Chris Doupe says portions of the investigation are ongoing and as a result, more specific information cannot be released at this time.

An investigation into the unlawful possession and trafficking of narcotics, targeting specific individuals and various addresses in the county, was launched in the fall of 2017.
