Beer By The Bay

Saying it's an exciting time for Sarnia's waterfront area, the general manager of Stokes By The Bay says they hope to expand into the craft brewery market.

Chris Pavli says they'd like to bring in a company with a professional brewmaster and do some minor renovations at the west end of the building to accommodate on-site consumption and sale of the product to the public.

There would be no external alterations to the building and the total number of seats in the dining/bar area would stay the same.

However, the zoning would have to be changed from "waterfront" to "waterfront site-specific" to allow for the retailing aspect of the building.

Sarnia City Council will deal with the zoning application on Monday, April 16 at 4pm. Those wishing to speak on the application must notify the clerk by April 11.
