UPDATE: Lakeshore Rd. Open After Pedestrian Crash

A section of Lakeshore Rd. in Sarnia reopened late Sunday afternoon following a serious vehicle-pedestrian collision early Sunday morning.

Police say a person was hit by a car on Lakeshore Rd. between Blackwell Side Road and Modeland Rd. at around 1:30am.

Police say the pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was taken to Bluewater Health and then transferred to London Health Sciences Centre.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was listed in critical condition.

Sarnia police shut down a portion of the road so investigators could complete their work. It reopened at around 5pm Sunday.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
