Salmon Derby Has A New Leader

There's a new leader in the Lake Trout category on day seven of the Bluewater Anglers Salmon Derby.

The current leaders in the 2018 Salmon Derby are:

  • Justin Tadgell of Grand Bend in the Lake Trout category with a 26.64 lb. Lake Trout.
  • Rick Scott of St. Marys in the Salmon category with a 14.12 lb. Salmon.
  • Dalton Collins of Sarnia in the Trout - Shore category with a 9.32 lb. Rainbow Trout.
  • Craig Beaubien of Sarnia in the Trout - Boat category with a 12.42 lb. Rainbow Trout.
  • Ryan Smith of Wyoming in the Walleye category with a 9.60 lb. Walleye.
  • Elijah Brown of Petrolia is the Kids Biggest Fish leader with a 15.74 lb. Lake Trout.
The Daily Big Fish winner is Justin Tadgell of Grand Bend with a 26.64 lb. Lake Trout.

The Daily Draw Prize winners are:

  • Corey Casey of Petrolia at the Sarnia weigh station.
  • Rob Sitzes of Sarnia at the Port Franks weigh station.
There were 56 fish entered at Port Franks and 53 fish entered at Sarnia for a 7 day Salmon Derby total of 1,064 fish.

The derby wraps up Sunday.
